As a freelance illustrator and mom to four busy boys, I love to create! Growing up in Idaho’s Treasure Valley, (think Boise, Idaho area) I spent many hours playing in rivers, digging for treasure with the family silverware, and baiting pirate traps with robber stew. Though none of my plots to capture a pirate ever worked, launching a rickety motorboat into the Snake River through a pasture full of cows was a favorite weekend activity. After working for many years as a freelance writer and editor of an online children’s literature review website, I earned a BFA in Illustration from Boise State University to add to my BS in Business Management Degree from Brigham Young University.
