Dr. Seuss’s ABC

by | Nov 1, 2008 | Blog | 3 comments

“Big A little a what begins with A? Aunt Annie’s Alligator A A A” I couldn’t resist and I just had to start the alphabet review books with Dr. Seuss’s ABC. I love the rhymes, and zaniness of Dr. Seuss. This one comes with lots of alliteration and fun pictures I think it is a great book to use with young children to introduce them to the letters of the alphabet. My daughter loved the book. There is also board book version as well. I recommend you buy this book used if possible. Lots of copies available online and at used bookstores, I got mine at a library used book sale for $.50. and it just had a name on the inside cover.

I agree, this is a fun book. My children laughed and laughed at the picture of Uncle Ub’s umbrella and his underwear, too. And now my grandchildren often choose it for one of the bedtime stories.

This is the only book I have memorized. Several of my son’s had a day to “Bring your favorite Dr. Suess book to school.” They had me come and recite this book to their class.

The book has great rhythm and great pictures.
